I can't seem to find anyone commenting on this line of product. They are on sale now in my area (Toronto) and have a nice sampler kit to test out.

Does anyone use them / like or dislike them?

it's a very good product.. made by the same company that handles trufitt and hill.. it lathers fantastically.

i have it. i think i like it, but there's a lot of clay in it i think and its a bit messy, so i don't use it often.

I bought some while I was at the beach and was pleasantly surprised how good it is. It is unscented (at least mine is). I get nice shaves with it. Lathers well and stays that way for three passes.

I've used it and still keep some around the house. While I prefer the more major brands like truefitt and hill of AoS the real shave co is great performance for the price. It has become my defacto travel gear or my "I don't know what I wanna use so ill use this" product.

I also have the shaving cream which I will not be using any time soon. Have you seen the ingredients in it? Allow me to go down the list:
· Stearic Acid: a type of fat
· Myristic Acid: another fatty acid
· Potassium Hydroxyde: Potash, a very corrosive acid
· Coconut Oil: OK to use
· Glycerin: A derivative of soap. OK to use
· Triethanolamine: An emulsifier, helps bind all these acids together
· Cocoa Oil: OK to use
· Butter: OK to use
· Parfum: Fragrance
· Phenoxyethanol : A preservative…ethanol ; a close cousin of alcohol. Wait a minute is says no alcohol in the front of the tube.
· Sodium Hydroxide: Lye, or caustic soda..very corrosive.
· Tetrasodium EDTA: helps bind the sum total of all of the above.
· Salix Alba: Obtained from the bark of the Willow Tree.

While this appears to be a formidable list, if the contents frighten you, you may not want to use any soap or cream on your face. ASAIK, lye, potash, and fatty acids are the essential ingredients in any soap/cream. IIRC, the ratio of potash and lye determine the texture of the product -- one makes it "harder" (soap), the other "softer" (cream). As for the alcohol, if you use any kind of fragrance you're probably putting that on your face as well. Of course, I don't know if any of these chemicals might actually be dangerous. Before the invention of soap (at least, according to Genesis), a normal lifespan was 700-900 years. So, maybe you're on to something.
