Thread: Ogallala SPECIAL RESERVE cologne

Is there someone that tried Ogallala SPECIAL RESERVE cologne and can give me a little feedback. I have the bay rum shaving soap and aftershave splash, I love the sent but it wont stay on me more than 1-2 hours. I like to know if the cologne will stay longer??

The Special Reserve is the double strength version correct??? or maybe John changed the name from 2X Strength to Special Reserve??

yes the special reserve is the double strength... I love the smell of Ogallala bay rum but would not last... :-( I want to be sure before I buy.

I think John nailed it with his scent combo, more of an Old West scent than a Island scent at least IMHO...

I agree with you both. I recently received my first order from John. I ordered the samples of cologne/ aftershave and the samples of shave soap. I have been on a bay rum kick lately, but until I got this order I didn't realize the diversity that this scent can become. I am sure that I will try the special reserve in my next order, but despite being samples it will take me quite a while to go through some of the product I just got.
I may even have to order some weinerwash for my new puppy.

I haven't been disappointed yet. Although I cannot comment on the function of the soap (testing edges lately) I can honestly say that this will quickly become a regular scent in my rotation. I know scents are personal, but wow.

wonder if there is a leather like scent of bayrum?

if you like the bay rum you should try his sage and ceder scented stuff real nice and smooth, oh the double strength burns really bad even if you dont shave before putting it on.
