Default Just Bought Some C. O. Bigolew Bay Rum!

    Hey Guys,

Just got some of the Bath & Body Works COB bay rum. Since coming here and B&B and seeing all the posts about the different types of BR I decided to give it a try. And I thought the COB would be a bit less strong as some others, so I could ease into it!

Well, my first impression was that I didn't care much for it, but after 2 days of wearing it I'm starting to like it! In fact, it even inspired me to swing by CVS today and buy some Pinaud Clubman! It's not the BR but it has a nice old school scent that reminds me of older gentlemen I knew as a child during the '70's. Looks like I'm on my way to another collection!

    Victor,

The BR is only available ON-LINE, so I guess we are all taking a shot in the dark on this stuff! It seemed a bit stout to me at first, but having never smelled any other BR I can't make a comparison yet. I state yet because I'll have some more AS soon! It has a heavy clove aspect, which I normally don't care for, but I have started to like it. It did mellow after application and lasted all the way into the night. SWMBO didn't seem to be impressed at first, but I think she will warm-up to it after she has be exposed to it for a while. Of course just like anything else, YRMV.

I say give it a shot. If you like BR it can't be too far away from the standard.

    Hey Guys,

I just checked the B&BW website myself and couldn't find the COB BR AS either. I guess they have stopped selling it, so I must have got one of the last bottles of the stuff. I don't think it's earth-shattering, or an absolute must-have, so I wouldn't pay a premium for it on eBay; the retail price was $19.50 per bottle.

I got 20% off with free shipping, so that sweetened the deal and made the purchase a bit more alluring to me. If you can get it for $25.00 or less I say go for it!
