Default Martin de Candre fragrances / colognes

    Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has tried the Martin de Candre fragrances, or the "Candre Waters" as they refer to them.

As they're a small company and going by the quality of their shaving soap, I'm guessing their fragrances would be quite good. Has anyone tried the Vetiver, Lavender or Lemon?

Would really appreciate your thoughts or better still a review!

    Hello, rum:

I have not tried the Martin de Candre fragrances, because I'm still trying to grasp the overwhilming high price for the soap — plus shipping charges. I understand the soap is high quality, with a floral scent of sorts. The aftershave and cologne scents might have a similar fragrance, but that's an assumption, I don't know.

    Regards,

    Obie

Easy now, you may offend someone

I agree that shipping is an absolute rip-off, especially the size of the parcel the soap arrives in. But if you think about it, a 170g chunk of soap is nearly twice the size of your average 100g puck. Plus it lathers so easily, you need to load less. I've had mine 6 months now and it has barely gone down 2-3mm. So I can see this puck lasting me 4 years at this rate! I'm inclined to get rid of all my soaps though and just use this one continuously!

Right, I think this thread is getting a little too to say the least. Has anyone used these colognes?

    One word, YES!

That said, I'm still eagerly waiting for some feed back on the scents. Help Rum out--somebody!

I can see in the end I'm just gonna order them and who cares about my bonus?

    Sweeeeeet

That sounds like something to look forward to! Care to post a review when you get it/try it? Or at least a post in the colognes section/here?

    Would really appreciate that!
