Default Looking for something a bit different

    Hello All,

So i've been using the same Nivea Post Shave Balm for the longest time now, I like the smell and the awesome way it makes my skin feel both immediately after and from shave to shave...but i want something different. I am looking for a relatively inexpensive ASB that has a good smell, and maybe some of the same quality as the nivea balm, any ideas???

You could try the Real Shaving Company Balm. They have the whole line of products at Rite Aid. I like their cream as well!

Sadly, OBR doesn't do a true asb but they do have this:http://www.usfreeads.com/catalogs/36...tem901111.html

    josh,

I too am a fan of Nivea post-shave balms.

Recently, however, I have tried the following and like them all.

Anherb Natural Aftershave Conditioner (nice scent)
Vitrex post-shave gel (smells a bit like blue Floid)
Visal post-shave gel (nice, modern masculine scent)

They all contain menthol, which provides a nice cooling effect on the skin after a shave.

If you're looking strictly for a balm (as opposed to a lotion aka "splash") then you can't go wrong with Castle Forbes. I have some CF 1445, and it's wonderful. However it is on the pricey side.

On the cheaper side I'd recommend Proraso's balm. Very nice for the summer months.

that stuff sounds awesome! Its funny because the description explains the real issues with aftershaves. But for the price i think i may buys some and maybe write a review to the effect. Thanks for the ideas, has anyone tried this stuff yet?

Gillette after shave gel works nicely and has a pleasant scent and it's relatively inexpensive. You can find it just about any place that sells canned go shave cream. Every time I put it on the wife asked why I smell so good? A little bit goes a long way, too. It helps with minor irritation as well.
