Thread: Alum Rash?

A question for you Alum block users... I have found that after using my razoroc stick that I am getting a really nasty rash all over my neck and sideburn area. I'm over a year into straight shaving, so I am pretty confident that it is not razor burn. Any ideas what it might be? a possible alergic reaction?? A common side effect??? Thanks for any input.

Do you get heavy burn when you use it? If you do that's a sign of razor burn. I suppose you could have a reaction to it but I've never heard of that. It is very possible you are getting a report via the alum of a rough shave. That will make your face red alright.
