Default After Shave or After Shave Balm

So how many of you out there are using traditional after shaves and how many are using an after shave balm? (Just curious )

Last week I received a Truefitt & Hill sampler pack containing some aftershave balm, and have tried some after my last couple of shaves. I think I may make it part of my routine.

I use both but the after shaves containing alcohol, I splash on my chest and the back of my neck since I use Witch Hazel and that already has %14 alcohol.

I've only used balms so far. I was looking for moisturization and something to sooth razor burn. I figured the balms would be better for that.

I use both, usually splashes in the summer and balms in the winter when its drier. But some times i switch it upa bit and use balm in the summer just because they smell good lol.

I use both - first splash and then balm.

If I had a really poor shave with cuts and nicks, I skip the splash that day and may even use two Balms, a thinner one with witch Hazel (for instance Clinique Post Shave Healer or Proraso Liquid Balm or Proraso Razor Burn Repair) and a thicker one with Aloe Vera (for instance Edwin Jagger AloeVera AS Balm or Musgo Real AS Balm or Proraso Sensitive AS Balm)

If my shave was great I may just use Speick AS Splash and then go directly to my face skin care products.

I use both. First the balm and then go about cleaning up and stropping. Then the as.

I agree that it is seasonal ( witch hazel manages to be all season, though). Balms are nicer when it's dry, but I rarely use them in summer. I think I prefer splashes overall, but in the dry winter they aren't very enjoyable.
