Gentlemen I would like to invite you to join yet another Razor Club "The Shumate Shaving Society" I know most of you actually have one of these underrated razors in your collection.. Whether you say Shoo-mate or Shoo-ma-tee the results are the same a great shaving little razor....

Most of the razors we see are from St Louis but I would love to see some pics of the rare TX made razors...
The Shumate's I have seen break down into 3 groups...

The named razors.... Tonso, Shuraco, Newport etc: down to the most common Dollar razors...

The second group is the Numbered razors the 027, 650, etc:

And the well known third group of the Barber series the Deluxe, Authentic, and Antiseptics...

I've owned a Shumate for more than a year now and have never used it! I guess I'll have to break out the hones and give her a try!
If I remember, I'll post pictures later!

This one is a "safety" straight razor. That "d" ring swivels to protect your skin. I will take better pictures after it is restored.

I was hoping you would post a picture of that one Chris, that is a very unique piece, and welcome to the "Society"

This one is a "Trusty" with a celluloid coved tang.....
