    Default My Torrey

Here is one of two that I have ... the other one is in a drawer at work. I guess I should bring it home!

What a sweet grind and design for that razor. Thanks for posting it!

Here's my contribution. I've never seen another razor that had such an ingenious and very effective razor lock incorporated in the scales. It works so well you really do need to pinch the blade in that thumbnotch that's cut out of the scales by the toe and unclick the blade from the scales. When done, the blade rests back in the scales with a nice "click". I can't wait to hone it up. I think I'll leave the patina for now. Beautiful grind BTW:

    Sorry, Jim:

I really don't have that many razors that I would say will stay in my "permanent collection". This one will. The style, the grind, the design and the condition of it are so unique and so cool. I posted this quite some time ago, and have yet to hone it up.

Incidentally, in the last pic I tried to show an etch in that groove of the blade grind. In elaborate script you can barely make it out even in person, but it says "Old English".

I have no doubts, Chris. That's a keeper indeed--enjoy it!

    Here are my two Torreys:

    Our 136--Shoulderless 5/8

No-name 5/8 kind of round point.

Uh oh, Mark, you're a HADdict and you didn't even know it. Resistance is futile! Good eye, it's the Belgian blue side of a vintage Coticule which is my prized coticule over all the others I own. Here's a better close up of how amazing it is. It shimmers and almost glows.
