I'm new to wet shaving. Just got a couple Gencos so I figured I'd join you all here.
The below picture is what I believe is their 1st factory in Geneva, NY, before WWII (Lehigh Street and Gates Ave).

They built an additional location (factory) near the shore of the lake off preemption street close to the railway to new york city.
Here's the original approved proposal.

They expanded a few years later.

A thought I saw a reference to yet an additional location a few years later. But I can't find it now.
I can't wait to improve my honing enough to where I can get my genco's shaving.
regards,
ken

Here's the link to the third location on Forge Avenue less than a mile from their orginal location. It seems like all three locations were in use at this time (1951).

Oh I'm joining. I just dropped off my genco to be honed today! I have an vanadium with a 2 stamped on the tang. I have yet to run into another vanadium but I'm looking forward to shaving with it when it gets back!

[QUOTE=karlej;946583]My Genco and Geneva entries. All are 6/8. The Geneva with the blonde scales and round point was my 1st. and originally honed by Lynn. The Eagle razor is, I think, between 1/2 and 1/4 hollow. It also has what I think is an early Geneva makers stamp. Maybe someone can shed some light on that. The Genco Prince is the only one I have ever seen.
QUOTE]
That Geneva cutlery CO is an early Geneva between 1902 and 1928 after that the company markings was Geneva cutlery INC.
A beautiful early geneva for sure Enjoy!!
