I would think that the unknown large tailed razor is certainly older then 1750, no?

Would love to see a detailed picture of the mark of the "London" razor!
And also of those razors in the period case! Whaw! Gorgeous!

Acier Fondu means cast steel. I don't know who would have made it.

There is no name, but the cross has been used by sheffield cutlers. I'm thinking about Brittain but I'm not sure

LOL - I was just emailing with another member here who is quite knowledgeable about the history of razors and there marks and such, and he put this razor 1840 +/- a decade or so.

How do I know? I was just asking the same question as I have the exact razor.....but with a different shape it turns out...wonder if mine met a street grinder and got modified:-)

I think my razor is a kind of counterfeiting that plays with the confusion of the cross. I would like the opinion of experts (hi zack !!!)

Well I know the John Sheppard belongs in this thread with a dip-toe and a pointy stub tail, but I also think this other one I got from Germay belongs here too with it's really short fat tail. I hope someone can tell me something on the maker for the odd pipe and I guess powder horn marked one.
