Thread: Dovo Digs

My first two straight razors were Dovos--a "Black Star" and a "Prima Klang." They both have a free lifetime honing certificate from SRD. I also have a "Red Solingen."

I've added to my Dovo collection over the years to include an "Ebony", a "Bismark," a vintage "Fritz Bracht," and most recently, a "Pearlex."

Dovos are fine straight razors with prices to match everybody's pocketbook.

I have 2 dovos in my rotation and I must say they shave better than any of my other razors. I bought them 8 years ago for
about $ 69.00 each. I have a $325.00 Thiers Issard and it dont hold a candle to the Dovos. One thing I have learned is
that just because its more expensive dont always make it better.

I just received my Dovo Flowing 6/8 last week from SRD and love the shaves I'm getting. The textured tang and blackwood scales are nice features. The razor feels mighty comfortable to grip. So far I love it.

I have a Dovo Astrale Leo 5/8 (one of the last ones on the market) and a Bismarck Red 6/8, definitely the last one on the market (I got lucky). I'm hoping to acquiure the Dovo all stainless, the Inox Olivewood, the Black Star green, the grey bone Solingen and the Forestal.

* or the Bismarck square point.

Nice set. I own the very same Bismarck on the bottom left. Good razor.

So far, I have only 1 Dovo (Astral I bought from Lynn). I'm looking to get a few more.
