    Default Maxam Razor

The maxam razor is a rather large, bulky razor with stainless steel blade and laminated wooden scales. The scales have an inner liner of ss and this makes the blade rather unbalanced and heavy. The scales do not stay put when blade is fully extended, making stropping and honing rather difficult. I have shaved with the blade several times. Stropping is more of a chore than an enjoyable task. The blade requires more stropping and honing to keep the blade sharp. It seems to lose it's sharpness fast and is difficult to maintain sharpness due to the instability of the whole device.

I wonder why a razor that is useless gets a price rating of 4. It should be 0. Whatever.

Bit on the pricey side for a paperweight, eh?

perhaps the reviewer paid a negative value for the item and was thus able to give it a positive price rating. We cannot be certain as the price was not divulged

I've handled one of these before. No freaking way they deserve a 5 on craftsmanship...

...You can see with the naked eye that the spine, shank, and concaves are incredibly uneven/wavy.

I was feeling nice. ha ha and I gave it a 5 on craftsmanship because I liked the wood scales. with stainless inlay. other than that it was aweful. and I got it pretty much free when I got my strop and strop conditioner.
