Default Straight razor lot of 5

    Gentlemen,

I have here 5 straight razors for sale, preferably as a lot, priced at $160 USD. I am willing to discuss individual sales as well, therefore I have listed the prices individually. Buying the whole lot gives you $40 USD off, or one free razor.

All razors are user grade, shave-ready. I am not able to find time to work on them to fully restore them, as I would like. Issues described below.

4 of them are wedge, or near wedge, Sheffileds. Those are:

    - Wade&Butcher 6/8"+ bone scales - honed with 2 layers of tape, uneven bevel, which presents no funcional issue. This is a pro restoration project IMO, the blade should ideally be reground. $45 USD

    - Joseph Smith&Sons 5/8" - uneven wear, warped horn scales, the blade centers. Has nice bolsters and the MOP inlay. $35 USD

    - Thomas Wilson, a hint shy of 6/8" - No major issues here, moderate hone wear. $45 USD

    - H. Hobson&Sons 5/8" - warped scales at the wedge pin, the blade has conformed, so it isn't hitting and centers fine. Pictured NOT shave-ready, but it will be very soon. $40 USD

    1 hollow ground razor:

    - Dome Trademark 5/8", vintage German blade. No major issues, but it could use some sanding and polishing. $35

I will take Paypal only. At these prices, I would prefer F&F, or add 4% to help with the fees.

Shipping is not included and will vary between $5 and $10 USD, depending on the number of razors. I send and then show you what it cost. Tracked and signed-for delivery.

If there is interest, I will post more pictures, just ask about a blade you'd like to see.

Thanks for asking. These blades at these prices are especially for beginners, in my opinion. Perhaps they are for the beginners wanting to try heavier grinds, on razors that aren't very heavy (talking about the 4 wedges). In a sense, they are more forgiving than an inch wide heavy wedge, but they will give you the experience of shaving with a wedge.

The other thing is, if some day one decides to get into honing, these blades are perfect for playing around, not worrying too much, as if you would, practicing on an expensive razor.

It's all a matter of preference really. I would recommend a few blades here for a true beginner, like Thomas Wilson, H. Hobson, the Dome (which is hollow ground), or the Joseph Smith. Wade&Butcher shaves like it should, but maintenance would be a pain for a beginner.

The Dome Solingen 5/8" extra hollow. Some patina, moderate wear. Centers well (pictured) and is a fairly light razor at 28g.
