Now I can find the company, but I can not find this set at all to try to try to set a value on or learn a little bit about. Any input and evaluation would be much appreciated. Thank ya gents.

not sure if its a set. most have matching scales, looks like someone found a similar razor same brand and stuck in the box. maybe so , maybe not , but for sure we don't do valuations on this site Tc

I agree about the scale difference. A broken set but still a nice find. Congrads on the set even if its not but they are nice for sure.

Yea I figured they just put it oŻ with a difference of scale material, but you guys really think it's just an add eh? I thought maybe to show difference in their fancier materials for display. That is real ivory no? Cause it is real tortoise.

Nice find. I'd go ahead and rescale the one with mismatched scales. I've seen a lot of those faux tortoise scales go off and cell rot the blade.

not 100% because nt in my hand but its not ivorym its the standard ivorine that was on tons of razors that vintage. my guess is the set came that way, and like Chris said most of the faux tortoise from back then was celliod,, watch for the gassing Tc

Clauss are some very good quality American made razors. Keep an eye on the one with tortoise shell scales. Those type scales are notorious for developing cell rot. Watch for signs of spotty rust on the blade, you can do a search for what that looks like. If it does develop the only cure is to remove and replace the scales. Cell rot can spread so it must be isolated from other razors until issue is resolved.

Could you post close up pics of the blade of that razor? That way some more knowledgeable members can detect if cell rot is present. The difference in appearance of the two sides indicates the scales are already starting to break down. I hope this is not the case as you have a couple of really nice, very good quality razors. Good luck.

Sure can, i'll post a few a bit later when I get home. And I really think it's real tortoise so hopefully some one can fill me in with a bit better of a picture.
