Default Pitchford by Zeitz & Co?

I recently acquired a Pitchford(P❤️FORD) with a nice piqu design on the scales. Ill do a mild resurfacing on the blade to remove some scratches, but overall condition is pretty good. I also really like the scales. The thing I found most interesting though, is the rear tang stamp. Its marked ZEITZ & Co. SHEFFIELD with a logo that looks like two crossed Zs with an S in the middle. Ive never heard of this company and I was pretty surprised to see it on this Pitchford. Has anyone heard of this outfit?

I haven't heard of them, but that is a nice looking razor. Congrats on the score.

Very unusual, I would think? A retailer in Sheffield? I don't think I have seen that either.
    Zeitz is German...
Perhaps an American or German retailer?
Pitchford is sort of an enigma as I recall. A forum search..........

Here! Anyone familiar with "P (heart image) Ford razors?

The penned scales are different. Are they horn?

Nice looking razor, nothing of that name comes up in the Sheffield Trade directories. A mystery

Nice blade but fantastic scales. I am pretty impressed. They are the most unusual silver pique work scales I have ever seen. Most of them I have seen pictures of are either on bone or ivory.
