Default Round point Double Duck... Was there ever such a beast?

I am no razor historian, but I thought the 6/8 with the fancy bolsters and the 3pin scales all came in spike.

Now I see DD round points showing up on ebay sometimes. So my question:

Are rounds so rare they the mere sight of one makes me think it’s been altered?
And not just DD… PJM C-Mon, Henkels 415 and maybe another that I missed…

I used to own a genuine roundpoint 6/8 DD Goldedge, so they're definitely out there. Maybe the spikes were just much more commonly sold...?

I have a DD Goldedge round point right now and it is the same length as the Spike. I would be that the reason is that hte spike is just more versatile and was prefered by barbers.

Actually most Goldedges were roundpoints. The spike goldedges are rare. On the other hand the wonderedges were mostly spikes and round points were rare there. it depends on the model.
Why I'm so good with a pistol I could kill a crow on the wing. Did the crow have a pistol? Was he shooting back? I will be.

Interesting. I have had a bunch of GE's and all but 1 were spikes or squares. Guess i must be lucky.
