The Shaving Shop- Wacker Razors
Any thoughts/ experience on these products? I am in love with this one in particular:
7/8 Mella 21 - Gabon ebony
Here is a beautiful premium combination; a newly ground Mella #21 round point blade of the finest carbon razor steel. For those of you who want a great shaver and a show piece razor combined here it is! These Gabon ebony handled razors come with a slightly different blade design that has the shank/tang and spine beautifully gold washed. The blades on these Mella razors were hardened, tempered, ground and mounted by the last of the independent Solingen MASTER Razor Makers. No operational company in Solingen manufacturers a 7/8" wide razor. These wide razors are more popular now than they ever were. Try one - it won't let you down!

John Crowley has really good razors. I would be comfortable with whatever he has to sell. That looks like a sweet razor to me!

I've purchased 2 from him, and both were excellent razors, and his service was exceptional as well.

I too have a Wacker purchased from John. It is one of my most favorite shavers and his honing is a plus. he was very nice on the phone with my questions and his shipping was very prompt. I would buy from him again in a heartbeat.

I've bought 3 razors from John, 2 Wackers and a Revisor.
I chose to hone and bring the Wackers to shave readiness myself. John mentored me through the entire process on the phone and with emails.
He's a highly recommended merchant.

I too have purchased a couple of Wackers from John. I really like them. One thing I have noticed is that they do seem to be a little harder to hone. It could just be me but they take a little more time and attention on the hone. My taste has also changed a little over time too. Some of the razors have quite a bit of gold wash. I have grown to appreciate the beauty of blades and spine work without the gold wash.
