Default Regular shaving cream with a safety razor

    How affective is that?

I'm on a budget right now, and I could only get a Merkur. I will probably get the extras when time progress.

So can a Merkur work good without a brush and shaving soap?

It depends on the kind of soap. Wet shaving is wet shaving whether you use a straight, a DE or a cartridge.

The soap is just one component of a good shave so as long as you face stays wet, you have cushioning and lubrication your soap is working the way it should so that component is getting taken care of. As you experiment with different soaps then your dealing with scents and those three qualities increasing or decreasing from brand to brand.

So to answer your question at the most basic level, simply its yes.
Why I'm so good with a pistol I could kill a crow on the wing. Did the crow have a pistol? Was he shooting back? I will be.
