    Default Early Christmas Present

Well my grandmother asked me about my new SR shaving and how I liked it. I was telling her how I loved it and how I like the different razors that are out there. I was telling her about how I want to get a Henkels Friodur Inox. She asked what they looked like and I found one on ebay and showed her. Well to my surprise she said she would buy it as an early Christmas Present. Here is a link to the razor can not wait to get this one. Lynn will be getting this one to hone up.

STRAIGHT RAZOR HENCKELS INOX ORNATE SPINE NEW BLADE - eBay (item 160476764442 end time Oct-05-10 12:01:55 PDT)

That is incredibly generous of your grandmother. I hope you are going to cut her lawn now!
Oh yes - really nice razor!

She is great to me and my family I would mow her lawn but someone does it for her. It looks like a real heavy blade and I heard these shave real well.

Very nice. Not only is that a great razor, you will no doubt have a pleasant sentimental attachment to it as well.

I never really thought of it like that but you are so right I will always have a that little bit of her with me when I shave. Kind of a nice way to look at that.

If it hasn't been bought yet, they are a little less expensive at Shavingshop.com No matter where it's from, that is a fantastic gift and you'll love it.

I checked they are about the same price but they do have nicer handles.

My question now after reading the description on the site are these new razors or NOS. It sounds like they were made recently according to the site.

There are NOS of these around, but some (most?) are recently ground (and maybe even recently heat treated?) from old blanks.
