I thinking of purchasing this.

Yep, nice razors. I have one... 6\8 i believe.. Crappy scales, my scales are a muddy white with that same pattern. I love the shave though so it stays in the rotation.

I have quite a few of the 'A1 Silberstahl Garanti' & 'Silberstahl Garanti' stamped razors.

I don't know if they were 'generic' Solingen produced razors, but all mine have been excellent shavers

Yep, Garanti or Garantie made tons of razors (they often made razor for other companies too) and usually rather good ones.

Edited: "Garanti" means "warranted" in English.
