Default Question about Joseph Rodgers & Sons Razors

Hello, I came across some razors from Joseph Rodgers & Sons a brand which I have never heard of before and I was wondering if any of you know anything about it. Are their razors any good? To which of the better known brands would JR&S compare to?
May be I should have enquired before but the reason why I'm asking is because I found a 7 day set in very good condition for $300.00 and that works at $50.00 (it has one missing) a piece. I think I got a good deal, but did I?

    What are your views?

Thank you in advance. I have to tell you that I find SRP such an amazing place. You really find here some of the most knowledgeable people on straight razors in the world.

I'm really looking forward to hear your comments.

    All the best

    Carlos

Very Nice Catch! From what I saw in the pics I have one thing to say..........You stole them babies!

JR&S are some of the finest razors out there, otherwise I would not have 5 of them. Some can be a bit hard to hone but once the edge is there, it's there. The trademark 'Cutlers To Their Majesties" was awarded to them in 1682 IIRC, not exactly sure when they started making str8 razors, but in the past if a Nobelmen, Lord, Prince, etc. owned something made by JR&S it was considered one of their prize possessions, that should tell you something about the quality. I love mine, won't even consider getting rid of one and plan to pass them down to my grandson.
