    Default Emeraude 14?

I went out hunting for razors today and I came across one that I had never heard of, Emeraude 14 on the tang and made in France on the other side with some etching on the blade too. It has a mighty beefy half hollow blade, from .94-.975, and some silver(maybe) inlay on the scales. I figured what the heck for $25 I gave it a shot, it didn't say Pakistan or China on it and some very good blades come out of France so I figured I had a pretty good chance at a nice score. Anyone know anything on this razor? All I could find is that Emeraude made perfume.

    Heres the pics:

Nice one!! The etching on the blade reads "Acier garanti Suedois" wich means Warranted Swedish steel.
And lower it reads "Trempe & affile a la main" wich means Tempered and honed by hand.
Never heard of the company but from what im seeing and being french from swedish steel should be a fine razor!!!

I figured it would be. I don't think I am going to do anything to the blade but a simple wipe down, I don't want to lose the etching. The scales are warped a bit where the inlay is, is there and special why I need to straighten them because of the or would the normal heating method work?

If the blade closes easily without rubbing, personally i woudnt touch them. But thats me looks like a good clean up will do!!
