Yes back then it was thought of as taking a step into the "shiny new future."
It turned out to be another classic example of taking an already bad product and progressively making it worse.
Honestly, how can adding more badly sharpened, paper thin, poorly aligned "blades" made from recycled soda cans make this modern marvel any better?
Its an even toss between the "razor" and the plastic packaging it came in.
