Question Old "Hen & Rooster" - Ivory Scales and Tang! - Any Info?

Picked this up at an estate this morning. I found that its an old Hen & Rooster, the scales and tang are deffinitely ivory and not bone.

Does anyone know about these old H&Rs? I saw someone say that the old ones are very rare and desirable, is this one of those? They certainly stopped using ivory a long time ago, so I feel that it might be an old one. Any information that anyone can give me would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Interesting piece. Too bad about the hone wear. I wish they had stamped or etched a company name on the reverse side of the tang. Obviously an oldie from the C. Bertram years.

I don't think I've seen more than 1 or 2 original H&R Razors ever. They are very rare.

Yeah, I did a trade for that one that sparq posted in that thread Alex linked in his post. The one with L. Herder on the reverse tang. Apparently C. Bertram made razors for various mfgs, as well as their own. Great razor BTW, one I won't cut loose of in this life.
