Default My double find of pure heaven!

I have always wanted both of these brands and couldn't be happier with my less than 50 dollar find at the local antique store! I was looking with a friend that knows nothing about straights he points out the dubl-duck and I go crazy I look at it hold it inspect it and it looks brand new! I'm on cloud 9 at this point so I go walking looking for what I initially went for (antique tobacco pipes) we are nearing the end of our stroll when I see an isle I haven't been down (he went when I was looking at the satinedge) I go down the isle I see a butterscotch set of scales and see no makers stamp on the tang, however I ask the clerk to open the case and flip it over and BOOM its a Dorko 856 hefty and its got original scales and box to boot, in addition its so perfect it doesn't look like anyone has used it ever. I stroll the place 1 more time and find a few cheaper brands that are in rough condition so I pass and run to the register to buy the find of my life so far. Just thought I had to share!!

You did good IMO, Get it honed by a pro and you are set!

I did notice that in pics 6 and 8 that it had what looked to be sanding scratches. You may want to polish them out or have somebody do it for you. Great find, good luck was smiling at you!

Everyone has a great antique find, but me! LOL. Some day it'll happen and I'll probably get so excited
    they'll double the price.

Great find!!! Those are a couple of great razors. That Dorko is right up my alley! Of course the DD fits right in there too! You had a great day, congrats!!

    Regards,

    Howard

Dorkos will give you warts... Wrap and send it to me so I can dispose of it properly for you.
