    Your favorite shoulderless razor?

My Carre is carbon steel - no problem to hone, and indeed very sharp.

    Closeness of shave

I'd go along with that. Mind you it has been going that way a long time. The use of straight razors started to really decline with King Gillette's introduction

    Any Fountain Pen Users?

Not knowing very much about the types of script, do you use a flexable nib in the Spencerian script and just use different pressure?
    Or is it done

Best way to clean up a blade?

Any good metal polish should do the trick. Be aware that if you do use polish it will make honing after necessary in all likelihood.
