Conclusion: Great Shave, had a few problems with the metropol after rebuilding the bevel to remove a large chip,
2nd time around after receiving advice from my good friend Sir Bart, the edge left nothing to be desired, Nothing.
Prep: Hot towel + Lather , followed by hot towel and relather>> Soap: Cella crema da barba al olio di mandorla. Excellent tallow based soap, permanent in my rotation.>> Brush: Omega boar bristle. Razor: Wacker Jungmeister 7/8 spanish point. >>Astringent: Thayers.>> AS Old Spice.
Had to shave earlier than usual since we are expecting company...too windy to ride the Hog.
On the grill: whole chicken marinated with lemon pepper stuffed with Italian sweet sausages and apple.
Background music: Antonio Vivaldi Concerto for violin, cello, strings and harpsichord in D Minor.
PS. The razor pictured is obviously not a Wacker Jungmeister 7/8. This razor is an ERN ATOR restored by Max, it is a work of art! The scale work is impeccable, the razor is well balanced and the blade restored to a mirror shine. I had in mind posting this picture last Saturday but forgot. I posted here for the enjoyment of all.

Forgot to post it Saturday as promised...my apologies to all.
Music: Java's Bachelor Pad (Java's Bachelor Pad)
Brush: Colonel Conk Travel Brush
Soap: Edwin Jagger - Aloe Vera
Strop: Jemico
Razor: Brookes & Crookes (Part of a 2 razor set in case I bought on ebay for £35.. The razors were surprisingly in perfect condition.. Even oiled. No rust no chips, scales good as new. Close to 'shave ready'. I just cleaned them, stropped them and shaved with one of them. Will try the other one tomorrow.) P.S. That is not a big chip in the blade you see on the picture, it is just the flash..![]()
AS: L'Occitane CADE after shave balm + Smith's Rosebud Salve for a little nick on the chin where I managed to cut myself. And of course a little Lucky Tiger Mustache Wax for my 'Fu Manchu'.
Edit:
After an hour or so my skin is a little sore, so I guess the razor is a little dull.. But a few laps on a pasted strop should fix that.
Update on my shave with the Japanese razor. While I got a really smooth bbs with it and I found it very easy to use, I discovered today that my beard grew back quicker than when I use a western SR. Maybe it was because I didn't go WTG,XTG,ATG like I do with western SRs.. I just went WTG and ATG.
