Wacker Old Sheffield No.4 Stosser 13/16ths

    Spanish Floïd Suave

First and foremost, thanks to Curtiss (Scissors) for his kindness and generosity in sending the Acqua di Parma sample for today's shave.
I must admit to feeling a bit jaded about all the praise heaped on this cream, but I'm here to tell you that it is amazing stuff! A little dab explodes into a mountain of creamy lather, and Scissors was right on in his recommandation to treat it like soap and pre soften it with a bit of water... A real luxury product... and since most of my choices are pretty pedestrian, I can tell the difference!
The Wacker added to the illusion of a man in the lap of luxury rather than just another face in the crowd (which I try my best to avoid!)..

A great shave for (hopefully) a quiet Sunday..

Sometimes on Sunday, I save the shave until the end of the day. A final "fair well " to the weekend. I find it to be a tremendously relaxing and rewarding way to end the weekend (Monday can be so rushed in the morning that I fear I would not get to enjoy the shave). I have been shaving lately with a Wostenholm Pipe razor. To change things up, I got out my "Livi New Grind" (I refer to it as "The Verticoli"). The blade is quite a bit heavier than the wostenholm, and not being used to the weight, I received 2 knicks. Note to self: Use this razor more to avoid these issues. I often find that I will save my Ultra-nice items for "special" things. This holds true for razors, guitars, clothes, guns, etc. Anyone else do this? Anyhow, it was a great shave anyway.

Pre-shave: Hot shower, rubbed face with tea tree and peppermint conditioner.
    Strop: Rup Razor 50 leather.
Razor: Maestro Livi New Grind 6/8
Brush: TGN Grade A Premium Silver Badger in Custom Cherry Handle
    Scuttle: SRD
    Cream: AOS Sandalwood
Shave: WTG, XTG, ATG. Hot water rinse between each pass. Cold water splash, 2 Dabs of stiptic pencil. AOS Sandalwood aftershave balm to finish.
    Result: Smooth and relaxing!

Straight shaving makes me feel like I truly can "suck the marrow out of life".

    Have a great week Gentlemen!
