Thumbs up SOTD - Sun October 3rd - Sat October 9th

    .
    Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
    Razor: Kabeso 248
    Brush: Simpson Chubby II
    Soap: Pré De Provence
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
AS Milk: KD Creations - Unscented
    EDT: Obsession Calvin Klein
Results: First time I tried the Pré de provence soap which was a gift and I really enjoyed the fresh scent. Lots of lather. It's loaded with shea butter and I must say my face felt extremely soft and moisturized. I only needed a very small dab of Karen's AS milk as that too moisturizes extremely well. A final spritz of Obession and all was good.
    Enjoy the new week gents.

    Default Sunday Night

    Location: Sydney Australia
    Strop: Kangaroo Hide
    Brush: Comoy Badger
    Prep: Hot Shower/Hot Towel
    Soap: Col. Ichabod Conk's (amber)
    Razor: Kropp 6/8
    A/S: Nivea Post Shave Balm
This was one of my very early restorations, tried a lot of experimental stuff on this razor. Its not the prettiest razor in the collection but its a fantastic shaver and holds its edge better than most.
The highlight of this shave however, was the new Roo Hide strop.
It just arrived from MickR.I must say that Mick is a real gentleman who went out of his way to look after me.
It has a velvety smoothness that I've not felt in any other strop and the shave itself was proof of its worth. Nice and smooth result on 2 day growth.
    Have a good week boys.

"Solgen" Japanese Full Hollow | Kanayama | Tabac + Gentlemen's Best + Glycerin | Thayers Lavender | CarrieM AS Milk | Endymion

Another day of Army Reserve duty, making 7 straight days of "work" in a row. I was definitely in need of a nice, relaxing shave this morning, and the Solgen delivered it in spades! The Tabac and Gentlemen's Best formed a nice, slick and cushioned uberlather and the sweet Japanese blade wiped the whiskers away.

There are already some wonderful looking shaves highlighted this week, they are definitely a bright spot in my day each morning. Thank you, gentlemen!
