Thumbs up Sun April 10th - Sat April 16th

    .
    Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
    Razor: Filarmonica DT13
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 2
    Soap: Penhaligon's English Fern (vintage)
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    AS: Booster June Clover
    EDT: Davidoff - Cool Water
Summary: Took my vintage Penhaligon's for a spin. English Fern is a classical fougere of the highest order. It's got that green, fresh, clean , soapy scent to it. Tallow based. Love it. Booster's June Clover and Davidoff's coolwater were a perfect match and pièce de résistance. My Filarmonica 13 DT performed flawless. That razor hasn't seen a hone for God knows how long. Still very sharp and smooth. This was truly a perfect shave. (YMMV )
Wishing all my brothers from the SOTD a perfect week.

    Default SOTD 10042011

    Date/Time: 10042011/1211

    Soap: Knize Ten
    Brush: Semogue Boar 1305
Razor: Taylor's Eye Witness in Bone

This Taylor's is amazing, really wonderful smooth Sheffield shave. Had to be gentle though, those thin bone scales are delicate.

    Default Sunday Night Down Under

    Location: Coffs Harbour Australia
    Strop: Illinois 835
    Brush: FS Finest Badger
    Soap: Proraso
    Razor: Custom Gotta 120 11/16
    A/S Balm: Nivea Replenishing
    A/S: Old Spice
Result: I just gave the Gotta a touch-up on the Thuri and then a few laps on the Chrome Ox balsa strop.
Feels a little better, but to be honest I think I left the touch-up too late. Might need to go back a little further in the honing progression. Still, not a bad shave, just not a great one.
Plenty of great posts already this week, you guys are awesome.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend boys

A fine shave, relaxed and fun. My nine year old was watching the entire process. I can see a future wet-shaver in that kid

    Have a marvelous week Gentlemen!!
