Thumbs up Sun October 9th - Sat October 15th

    .
    Location: 36° 0'5"N - 115° 15' 21"W
    Razor: Genco
    Brush: PJ3 - 2 band
    Soap: Castle Forbes Lime
    Astringent: Thayers Witch Hazel
    AS: Booster Lime
    EDT: Davidoff - Coolwater
Summary: Today the sun came out after several days of rain and very cold weather. I spend some time at the local shooting range in the morning. It turned out to be a very nice, sunny and hot day. Time to get the lime out. The Castle Forbes Lime just exploded in tons of suds. It is just amazing although I need to be in the mood to use Lime. Today was such a day . Everything was just perfect. From the first to the last pass. The Genco performed without a hitch. The AS and EDT were the icing on the cake. I'm happy.
This past week was amazing. I was blown away by all the gorgeous hardware shown and used Keep it up gents.

Locale: The Place of Lather and Kisses
Music: Roy Buchannan - Live Stock
Prep: Hot Shower / Greek Olive Oil Soap / Nexus Conditioner
Razor: Fredrick Reynolds full Wedge in Micarta
Hones: 3" chestnut leather 25/50 before 15/20 after
Brush: Whipped Dog Pure Black Badger
Post: Cold Water Splash - Alum - Witch Hazel
Uber: Sir Irisch Moos Creme + Cella = Very, very nice
AS: Lucky Tiger + Jovan Musk Oil
Edt: English Leather + Avon Signature
Result: I had to wait a couple of days to shave with this little beauty. I was very pleased with this old girl. She's got her share of pits and she shows her age (so do I though) but she is ready to go another couple of generations before giving it up forever. A couple of passes with some touch ups with my DE and I'm good to go for another couple of days. Have a wonderful Sunday men! Go Broncos!! I know, don't say it.

    Sunday

Klas Törnblom day. I get nervous stropping this razor, it’s so light and I dread wrecking the scales. I often forget how good the Body Shop Macca root cream is; it explodes with just a little water and offers excellent cushion. I don’t know why I don’t use it more often.

    Polishing cufflinks this arvo.

...Oh, the razor was fresh off the Norton 8k and Shapton 16k, 20 very light laps on each...

    Razor: Klas Törnblom
    Pre Shave: Proraso
    Cream: Body Shop Macca Root
    ASB: ‘Herb Valley’ Witch Hazel
After Shave: Truefitt and Hill Trafalgar

    Default Sunday

    Good Morning Gentlemen,

    Today's shave

    Prep: Shower
    Strop: TI Paddle Strop 30,70
    Brush: Omega Boar
    Cream: Denim Original
    Razor: Dovo Flowing
    AS: Denim

Back to work today, I went with the Denim theme, these products are available locally, very inexpensive, the shave cream (Made in Italy, as is the AS) is very good.
I also like this Razor a lot, the design is quite fancy for Dovo, 2 "cut outs" in the scales, decorated spine and the shape of the tang and heel of the blade, combine to make it look very elegant. Shaves great too, what more could I ask for?
    Have a Great Week

    Default Sunday Night

    Location: Coffs Harbour Australia
    Strop: Illinois 835
    Brush: FS Finest Badger
    Soap: L'Occitane Cade
    Razor: Bengall Full Concave 11/16
    Astringent: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel
    Balm: C.O. Bigelow Mentha
    A/S: Old Spice
Its been a nice weekend. Got a few things done arround the house today. Yesterday we had fish and chips down at Coffs Harbour Jetty and spotted a couple of whales swimming by.
A fantastic shave was a nice way to wrap up the weekend.
I've had quite a few shaves with this Bengall since restoring and honing it but it still holds a great edge.
    3 passes and I'm BBS.
