Twinplex Sales Co 5/8
Altesse badger
Pacific Natural shave cream
Master Bay Rum
Drakkar Noir EDT
I haven't used the 5/8 in awhile, but it gave me a pretty decent shave. I still prefer my 6/8 razors. The Pacific Natural shave cream delivers a wonderful lather while using very little cream.

I've been a busier than a one-armed paperhanger with a case of the hives lately so it has been nice to have the time to take a photo and post a SOTD.
Pre: Long hot luxurious shower.
Lather: Latoja + Fitjar Sandalwood soap + glycerin + lanolin
Brush: Morris & Forndran Blond Badger w/horn handle
Razor: Toyo Scheӧn Burg 665
Post: alum block and Thayers WH Toner
PSB: Burt's Bees Honey and Shea Butter
AS: Musgo Real Classic
The Latoja and Fitjar make a great combo and whipped up into an incredible lather. The Scheӧn Burg 665 as usual performed flawlessly and provided an exceptional shave.
Pre-Shave: Hot shower Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Razor: Wade & Butcher 7/8 Honing Regimen: Chosera 1K -Naniwa SS 3/8K - Dragons Tongue - Llyn Melynllyn Strop: 40/60 Neil Miller Linen/Kanayama Cordovan Soap: Cella After shave: 444 + Floïd Suave Results: One of, if not the smoothest shave I've ever had. The W&B took a great edge from DT/LM.

You really like your coffee, don't you Mikael? Is this in your house or do you have a cafe?
I use this Spong grinder every morning to grind my beans...
It's adjustable and doesn't heat up the beans at all.
Fifteen revolutions of the handle is enough for my Mocca pot, I always have it in a vintage French coffee bowl...

Prep: Hot Shower / Very Hot Water Soak Razor: 6/8 Ontario, 11/16 Hamburg Cutlery Co. , 9/16 Genco Master Barbers (All fresh off the hones) Hones: 3" Big Daddy Felt/Chestnut 75/200 each Brush: 24mm Silvertip in Honey Locust by WillN Uber: TOBS Eton + TOBS Sandalwood + Cacao (I leave whatever is left in the Bowl for tomorrow and mix in the next, it works great for me!) AS: Alum block Followed by Lucky Tiger Splash + Lloyd's Roll on Balm Edc: Stetson + Cuba Gold Result: I honed all three of these last night and today using nothing but the Norton 4/8k and my C12k as a finisher. Each had a different personality, but while each was extremely sharp, the Hamburg was the smoothest due to the extra 50 laps on the C12k. I can safely add each into the rotation now!!!
Happy Shaving Men!!!! Wonderful Gear!
Mike
--Rough start to 2012, but I'm hoping it will improve. Actually, it can't get much worse!--
Lime in the Coconut
W&B 11/16 Bow Razor/W&B 7/8 Barber's Use BocoteIt's nice to be back with the straights after several days of ingrown hair hell and DE shaves which only made it worse. I spent a lot of time on restoration today, including buffing a nice W&B wedge and re-knotting a brush. Tonight's shave was very tropical and it put me in a great mood! I've updated The Noob Chronicle - My Straight Razor Experience and all is in order for Saturday night! Have a good one, my SOTD Brethren!
