Thread: Love my new Slant

Well i picked up a slant bar,

Just got it in the mail yesterday and put it to use this morning. I got the Merkur 39c. I like for starters how sturdy this razor is, very nice balance. Heard about this type of razor and that it can give a better closer shave. Well put it to the test this morning. It is definitely more aggressive, not a beginners razor in my mind. It didnt slice me up, but I can see the potential for it.

I for one love it. I feel I got a great shave with less strokes. It just glided on my face with little input from my hand. Definitely going to be a favorite of mine. So for any one wanting to change things up a bit, look into a slant.

Man and His Razor

Affectionately known as the Sledgehammer, the 39c is big, long, beefy and a great razor. It is not for the faint of heart, but is capable of shaves which rival the sharpest straights. I love mine and would recommend a trial for all wet shavers, it's amazing.

For DEs the slant is my favorite as well. The Barbasol a close second for heft and aggressiveness.
