They have both the same head, so it's up to you what you prefer looking at basically...

True...Edwin Jagger and Muhle are essentially the same razors under different names.

You can't go wrong with either.

It doesn't matter really, both will last a looooong time.
Personally I would buy neither, I like a knurled metal handle better, check out the Barley EJ:

    Hello, dinatali:

Both Muhle R106 and the Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" imitation horn use the Muhle shave head. Both are quality razors with impeccable fit and finish.

Yet the razors are dissimilar in other ways. The Muhle R106, in the black handle, is the standard double edge razor. Edwin Jagger has its own version of that style. The Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" in the imitation horn is much bigger — the handle is about 4 inches longer, maybe a touch shorter. The razor's design is different, too, with the "Chatsworth" conjuring up a stunning lady making a grand entrance into a royal palace.

I have the Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" lined barley in the chrome finish and it still catches my eye every time I enter the shave den. The "Chatsworth" imitation horn is gorgeous. It's higher in price, too, than the R106 Muhle.

It all depends on what your eyes and heart tell you. If I were choosing, and could spare the change, I would opt for the "Chatsworth" imitation horn and let my eyes feast on it every morning.

By the way, in all likelihood both razors will last a long time — and probably outlive the both of us.

    Regards,

    Obie
