Thread: EJ Horn Chatsworth vs Muhle R106

i am confiused with EJ chatsworth Horn & Muhle R106,actually i am looking for somthing strongly long lasting and blance in shaving , Have any one tried before this kind of razor

I am unfamiliar with Muhle de razors, but do own an EJ Chatsworth.

I consider my Chatsworth an outstanding de razor. It delivers great shaves.

I have the Muhle R109 (same as 106 !), and I have found it a very good DE razor.

Modern European 3 peice DE razors tend to have the same thread for the handles, so you can swap handles about if you like.

I quite often use the handle of my Merkur 1904 with the head of my R109.

The Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" horn is styled differently from the Muhle R106. The Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" series is quite elegant. If there is any comparison to be made, the Muhle R106 should be compared to the Edwin Jagger DE 86. They are the same style. Both have polished black resin for a handle. To my knowledge, all these razors use the Muhle shave head. In essence, then, except for the difference in the handles, the Muhle R106 and the Edwin Jagger DE 86 are the same razor, with the Muhle being the richer cousin, since it costs more than the Edwin Jagger. The Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" horn, therefore, is in its own class. I must say, all are beautifully-made razors with impeccable workmanship, and they are great shavers.
