Talking I Am Now An Aristocrat!

Previously, I have posted how my wonderful wife gave me a mint Gillette Fatboy F2 DE razor, identical to the one I had in college, as a Christmas gift. It has been a thrill using the Fatboy.

Yesterday, she came in and handed me a near-mint Gillette Slim Adjustable G4 Aristocrat that had belonged to her uncle!!!! Just a touch of soap and water made it gleam like a brand new razor.

This morning I put it to use. Not only is it absolutely beautiful, it is a remarkable shaver. I would sum up its abilities as "close and comfortable." It shaves as close as my Fatboy and as comfortable as my EJ 89L. What a great addition to my stable. All I have to do now is find some nice way to properly say "THANK YOU" to her.

As soon as I can, I will post pictures.

Congratulations! I went through many DE's and when I received a near mint late 40's aristocrat a few years ago I knew I had hit the jackpot!

DLB, my dear friend, that is a sweet gift from the early beloved. In return I would present her with a bouquet of flowers and a dinner out at a fine restaurant.
    Stay well.

I second the motion put forth by Obie. Any wife or girlfriend who not ownly supports our shaving hobby/addiction, but also contributes to it is worth her weight in gold! Spoil her the way she has spoiled you!

I was gonna say please don't post pictures of you 'thanking' her, I don't think it's allowed... :-)

You mean something like the advertisement that always ends with two people holding hands while lying in bathtubs watching the moon rise outside near the lake?
