DE and beard
With winter rolling in I started growing a beard. My question is how others with beards use their DE to trim properly. Thanks

The Knight who says NI!
I actually like using my DE to trip around my mustache and goatee, I find I can get it closer and more precise with the DE then I ever could with a cart....

I use an open comb to keep mine even and the lines sharp. An open comb is nice for thinning a beard. I have a goatee as well and have been doing it this way for a long time.

DE's actually work very well for defining beard lines. The advantage of using a straight is that you can see the very cutting edge, but the DE has the upper hand at being able to fit into tight spaces. Once you have a good feel for a DE you will know where the edge is at all times, even if you can't see it. If you are used to shaping your beard with a cartridge or disposable I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much better a DE is in comparison.

I've only been using DE for a couple months now. Was an electric razor man. So I trimmed with my razor attachment. Still working on where the blade is and getting my hand out of the way to see.

i have no problems with my DE to trim my vertical goatee. i find it gentler and quicker than a straight.
