It's a Gillette NEW...they started making them around the early 30's. I think B&B has a date wiki if you want to try and get an exact date. Not bad for 26!

yeah. It is the Gillette New. It is a great razor, however being an open comb, it's angle is very very close to 45 degrees. It is also like shaving with a straight. Be careful with this razor. If you are not careful, you will likely get some nics and cuts.

    1. Scrubbing Bubbles for scum
    2. 30 minute boil in plain water for internal scum (and critters)
    3. Barbicide per instructions on bottle for critters
    4. Shine with Maas and/or Brasso
    5. Mineral oil soak to lube up internals
    6. Rinse in hot water to get the mineral oil off the outside
