Thumbs up D. R. Harris "Lavender" shaving cream

Sunday is the wife's birthday. What better opportunity to visit my favourite shop to buy her a little something. And since I was there, anyhow, I managed to get a few more samples, one of them being D. R. Harris's "Lavender" shaving cream. Now, I have previously reviewed Castle Forbes "Lavender" shaving cream and Art of Shaving "Lavender" shaving cream. For this review, as in the lime shaving cream reviews, CF will be the benchmark.

Here are some pictures, of the typical horrible quality, of the cream in action.

Packaging: Actually, very nice. The cardboard box has a classic feel to it, whereas the dark grey tube fits nicely into my DINK bathroom.

Texture: Nice, thick cream. The colour (as you can see in the pictures) is, well, intense. An intense dark lavender. Interesting.

Scent: Discreet, and actually equally nice straight from the tube, and in the face.

Latherability: One word: Perfect. Lathers up like a dream. Texture can be manipulated easily with the smallest amounts of water. The lather itself is a light lavender.

    Cushion: Another word: Perfect.

Moisturising: Not quite as good as Castle Forbes's "Lavender", but still up there with the best of them.

Price: Cheaper than Castle Forbes, and in the typical price range for quality creams.

Overall impression: A very, very nice cream. I have a weak spot for lavender scented creams, and this one is my second favourite, topped only by Castle Forbes, based on scent (which may be too much for some of you).
