This is perhaps the best-known and oldest soap in Holland, because it's been around for over 450 years, so the company is obviously doing something right! De Vergulde Hand soap will always deliver rich, luxurious lather, with a nice exotic, but "old-school" scent, and good cushioning, and pretty good skincare. There is also a shaving stick version, which is just as nice as the bowled soap version, which I am reviewing. The price is very, very low in Holland, but it is not really available anywhere else in Europe, except in nearby Belgium.
