    Default The best lubricant.

I shake my head with pity when reading threads proclaim some new fangled product with glycerin lanolin and oil extracted from the milk of a virgin yak and then scented with frankincense and myrrh and prepared by a hermit living in a secret house in Machu Picchu is extolled as the best lubricant for shaving.

Any real man knows that the best lubricant is blood.

I don't know how it works but I do know that once you give yourself a decent nick and the claret starts flowing the shave becomes so much smoother and closer.

And remember chicks dig guys with scars.

If you need a little help to get started : How to cut yourself.

It's likely due to the fact that when you get a good cut you end up really paying attention in order to finish the shave...

Well material scientists know the best lube is carbon nanotubes. Or is science too prissy for your blood

I keep an allergic yak in my shave den and have it sneeze on my face as part of my preshave. This is easier 'cause I don't care if it's a virgin and I don't have to mess with milking it.

A related technique I like to use is to imagine what it would be like if I gave myself a good cut and use that image as motivation to be more careful.
