Thread: VERY close shave with my new razor

Had my 1st shave with my new razor and compared to my other razors..this was the lightest razor yet..I have a 5/8 Kamisori/Hamburg Ring 6/8 and a Henn 5/8 razor..the edge was "velvety" smooth..no issues on my upper lip like my other razors..the gentleman who sold it to me said he used a bunch of different hones and 60/60 on his linen/leather strop as well...I heard these American razors take an easier edge compared to the others

I recently scored a Waterville as well and can't wait to get it cleaned up and honed.
Mine shares the long tail with yours and I'm wondering if this was a characteristic of this brand.

My local butcher tells me that Waterville are famous for making outstanding blades.
