Thread: Reapply Shave Oil

is it advised or not advised to REAPPLY pre shave oil between passes?? I haven't done it but was wondering about it/if any one did it last night once i finished my shave. Is there a reason it wouldn;t be recommended to do this? Thanks for the advice!

I do it on occasion, no particular reason though. Doesn't hurt anything and it gives you a chance to feel where the worst stubble is left.

That is a personal preference. I apply at the start of the shave but don't generally re-apply.

I reapply between passes because that's how it was done for the one professional straight razor shave I got, which produced fantastic results, and because it allows me to feel where the areas are that still need work as I prepare for the next pass.
