Thread: Custom wedding day shave

I received a sample of my wedding photos today and wanted to share what I feel is a great photo. For my wedding we rented a cottage on the shore of Lake Michigan. It was/ is a beautiful spot but the upstairs bathroom was a little small. SWMBO said I looked like Buddy the elf, from the movie Elf when I was in it. In fairness I’m a little taller than average.

The photographer showed up a little early and he grabbed some photos of me shaving in the too small bathroom. The razor is a Max Sprecher custom 8/8, 3/8 hollow barber’s notch in black and white M3 Mokume gane and tapered with a black horn wedge. It’s best described as a tractor trailer that handles like a Porsche. It's the top one in this post. 8/8 Custom > Barber's Notch & French Point dressed w/ Mokume Gane

Of course after not having cut myself in months I nicked myself moments before I had to get dressed for my wedding.

I can't thank Max enough for helping me to add a little something special to my wedding day.
