Thread: Exfoliate like you've got a pair...

I just began shaving with a straight razor a couple weeks ago, and my technique has definitely improved a fair bit already. The one thing I noticed right away that I was not expecting is the amount of dead skin a straight razor takes off compared to a cartridge. It has already helped my skin (which I've had blemish problems with since I was about 14). That being said, I am waiting eagerly for the following hypothetical conversation, just not sure where it would take place... maybe the face care aisle at a drug store:

Exfoliation Advocate: "Oh exfoliation is soooo important, do you exfoliate?"
Me: "Yes"
EA: "Well I like to use (a pumice stone/ facial scrub/ whatever), what do you do?"
Me: "I slice off my dead skin cells with an 80 year old piece of razor sharp, high-carbon steel."
EA: "(blank, horrified stare)"
Me: "(big smile, turns and walks away)"

I always tell people i use a grill brush....

I don't tend to mingle with the type of people who would ask such a question in the first place...

Most "exfoliation advocates" are really sexual offenders in disguise.

I use a bench grinder myself LOL

Neither do I, which is why I am having trouble conceiving of the situation where I could have my hypothetical conversation.

Angle grinder with wire wheel user here. Use a light touch.

If your really, really careful with the Lawn Boy mower, you can exfoliate nicely :-O

Weed Whacker?
