Well I didn't know that was original. In the sellers pics you really can't see that at all, they probably took the pics at an angle to make it appear shinier. I'll get some oil on it soon to keep the little bit of rust starting on it at bay. One of the scales is slightly warped but I've read some tips for taking care of that problem fairly easily. Thanks for the compliment and the info rezdog.

It does have a few small flaws to it. Thank you

I finally was able to have the time to clean and hone the duckling, and it cleaned up nice and easy. Took care of a few other razors as well. Still needs the final cro2 and stropping but the way that little duck was plinking hairs off my arm I think I'll be very impressed by this one!Name: IMG_0205.jpg

Excellent. I have a DD Secial no. 1 that is a very good razor. I have had others but that one is the only DD razor that has gotten permanent resident status.

I'm thinking that the dwarf will be a permanent resident, but only test driving it tonight will tell me for sure. That little guy honed without much difficulty, but it already had a good start on a nice edge when it came. Just a few tiny chips that I couldn't see til about 40x magnification. It did not take much to set a nice bevel. But so far I'm liking what I'm seeing.
