I was watching this one and decided to make an offer and to my suprize it was accepted. now when it gets here i will look through the scales I have to see if a set will fit. If not I'll see if I can make a set for it. I really hope the blade is as good as it looks in the photo. I know the photos are at an angle so if there not I want have lost much. Oh and it's a Henckel 6/8

I think you will like this one. I see lousy pictures of a great blade. Do you have any ivory donors laying around.

That blade looks pretty good in the pics. Should be a good one.

I really don't know if they will fit but the scales on the last clement i bought was ivory and the blade was toast. I'll see if they fit when it gets here. That's good thinking.

I tried to locate the photo of the clement with the bad blade but for some reason I don't know how to look it up either here on the place or ebay. I may have to just take a photo of it when the henckel gets here. I hope the scales arre long enough.

Congrats on the score. It looks good to me. I know the pictures aren't great but the jimps look clean and in my experience if the jimps are the rest of the blade has a good chance of being too.

I have a Henckel this size and no. and just ck. with the ivory scales from the clement and it will not work but I have a bengal that didn't turn out to good and those scales will do fine. I can make a letter opener out of the bengal. I got it off the bay and the rust on the edge was too much and it turned out not something i would pass on to anyone.

I have gotten a few here and there that either were not what I expected or were in worse condition than I had hoped and you can always send them to Tom for wind chimes or make a set of wind chimes.

This one came today and I lucked out. The blade appears to have never been honed. There was no rust or pits. the scales were broken just like the photo shows but I had a set that all but matched up perfectley. Now only the honing and shaving is left that and deciding whether or not to keep it or let it go. I already have one this size and no.
