    Sweet looking blade, and to your question of the smile...just a bit of shaping at the heal. IMO.

    The scales need a long soak in Neets foot oil, the color will typically return. It looks as if yours will have some swirling in them, from what I've seen in ones I've restored.

    Gimmy a yell, if ya need any help. I'm just on the other side of the state.

    The old works are long gone, on part of Gell St there's some lovely looking cottages from the early 1800's.
    You can take a virtual tour there via google street view. I've walked that area some years ago
