Antique Stores yesterday
Visited some antique stores south of me in Fresno, Cali and found the following, $120 for all,
In no particular order:
Engles LaFayette
H.Boker No. 201 Extra Hollow Ground
The Electric Cutlery, Newark, NJ
The Union Cut - NY
Shmates tungsten, St.Lous, USA
US Marine - Clauss? Fremont, CA
Webster Brothers, Steel Spun
Bismark Extra Qualitat
I cleaned up, polished and honed the LaFayette and shaved with it a little
while ago, very nice shaver.
The balance of these seem to be in great shape, no dings, scales ok, etc.
My plan is to take my time and enjoy working on each one and then send them all off to Bill so he has a stash for the monthly give-aways. He says we are short of razors. I hope someone will enjoy each and every one of them. The US Marine razor is a little sad to me. Looks like it might have been blacked out so to speak so as not to reflect any light in a combat situation. But someone took a grinder to parts of it so it may well be lost.

Highly desirable razors, all for a great price! The Clauss USMC is highly desirable, at least to me! Never met an Engles that was a bad shaver, either. Congrats.

Gah! Between DwarvenChef and myself, I thought that Fresno was a barren landscape by now
Looks like some of those antique dealers are starting to restock. Nice finds...
